COVID-19 Safety information

COVID-19 information may update regularly with the latest information – please check back at regular intervals. Last updated 26 November 2021.

Both Guidelines Live and ExCeL London are looking forward to welcoming you to a safe and secure in-person event. We are excited to be hosting a live educational programme and exhibition on 30 November - 1 December.

Attendee safety is our overriding focus and as you would expect, we continue to follow guidance from relevant bodies on all COVID-19 safety measures and precautions related to hosting an indoor, in-person event.

Entering ExCeL London

We can all play our part in keeping each other safe, so we are asking that everyone visiting Guidelines Live, provides ONE of the following (whether in build, live show or breakdown stages):

  • Proof of having received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, with the second dose at least 14 days before attending

  • Evidence of a negative Lateral Flow Test result (email/text) within 48 hours of attending

  • Presence of COVID-19 antibodies

This will be a quick visual check at the point of entry to ExCeL London and no personal data will be recorded or stored.

If you are a UK resident you can show your vaccination status via the NHS COVID Pass on the NHS App (or paper copy). International visitors can show equivalent proof from their home country.

If you would like to know more about how you can demonstrate your COVID status please click here https://www.excel.london/visitor/your-safety

Staying safe and comfortable

We encourage all visitors to be respectful of others and social distance where possible, wash hands regularly, or use hand sanitiser. Hand sanitiser will be available for every attendee.

We also encourage all attendees to wear a face covering where appropriate, especially when in enclosed or crowded spaces on the show floor or in clinical auditoria. Masks can be provided if anyone forgets to bring one.

We will implement a voluntary traffic-light system for attendees to convey how comfortable they are to interact with others:

  • Green – I am comfortable to be approached and mix

  • Amber – I am comfortable to be approached and mix but no physical contact such as shaking hands

  • Red – I am not comfortable with social contact, please keep a social distance

Simply collect the relevant coloured sticker and wear it so it is easily visible to others.

As with any other event in the UK please be respectful of other people and do not attend if:

  • You feel unwell, including a high temperature, new continuous cough and a loss of, or change to, your sense of smell or taste

  • You are isolating or have been asked to by a government test and trace service

  • You have been in close contact with anyone who has COVID-19 or anyone who has been showing symptoms.

Delegate badges

We have implemented a ‘print at home’ badge system, this requires that all delegates and exhibitors MUST print their own PDF badge and bring this with them.
