Stephanie qualified as a pharmacist in 1991, a doctor in 1996, a GP in 2003, and after several years as a salaried GP moved into medical management in 2008. Following several deputy medical director roles, she decided in 2018 to return to the primary care front line as a "proper" GP again and renew her acquaintance with patients.
Her strong interest in dermatology began as an SHO in 2002. She obtained the Cardiff Diploma in Practical Dermatology shortly afterwards. She has worked in the Liverpool Dermatology Integrated Clinical Assessment and Treatment Service since its inception in 2007 as an accredited GPSI for the Liverpool University Hospitals Foundation Trust. She is an enthusiastic educator on dermatology in primary care to all clinicians, and lectures extensively for various organisations including the RCGP and the PCDS. She is also an executive member of the Primary Care Dermatology Society.
